Fall can be a challenging period in Arkansas for forage programs. This conference will cover the tips and tricks of pushing through the fall forage gap. The 2025 Arkansas Forage and Grassland Council Spring Conference, "Proactive Pasture Production", is scheduled for October 31 at the Conway Cowboy Church. Topics include: the state of AR pastures and hayfields; when in doubt, plan for drought; strategic supplementation during drought; plus, herbicide demonstration results. In addition, we will discuss the AR Forage Advisor and learn how to sort facts and fiction on social media. The afternoon will include a forage quiz bowl, AR research updates, and a producer panel. Forage and livestock producers (cattle, equine, and small ruminants) who are trying to improve their hay and/or grazing management should attend the conference.
