Mr. Ronnie Nuckols is hosting the first of VFGC?s Forage Field Day?s this year on his beef cattle farm in Goochland County on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. This event will highlight his current grazing demonstration using annual forage crops and grazing management to build soil health and extend his grazing season. This event is a partnership effort between VFGC, NRCS, the Monacan SWCD, VCE and industry sponsors. This is expected to be the premier field soil health event in VA this season. Ronnie has installed a grazing system with the help of the Monacan SWCD and is managing it at a high level. We are anxious to highlight many production and conservation benefits he is experiencing by using grazing management and select forage species in his operation.
