Maximizing animal performance on pastures in summer is a game of minimizing stresses and putting the best bite of forage possible in front of the animal. Join us to learn about summer grazing strategies, herd health, forage management, and more.
Longtime forage agronomist, Dr. Joe Bouton, and Dr. John Currin of Virginia Tech’s vet school will guide us through issues related to forage management and summer herd health. In addition, we will take a pasture walk exploring steer performance on side by side pastures of toxic and novel-endophyte fescues (K31 vs. Texoma MaxQ II).
