The objectives of the Council are to:
1. Provide a forum for all workers from public and private sectors to exchange ideas, experiences, philosophies, and research findings on forage production and utilization.
2. Identify problems and needs and encourage education, research, and agri-business to expand and intensify effective efforts on more efficient production, marketing, and utilization of forage.
3. Sponsor statewide activities for professionals and top innovators in forage production and utilization.
4. Promote the value and profitable usage of forages for the efficient production of feed and food crops.
5. Promote the value of grassland as water- and soil-conserving crops and in the abatement of pollution for short-and long-term benefits to agriculture and environmental quality.
